    Tree Removal

There’s an art to climbing and felling trees. It may look like muscle, but precision and experience keep us safe while we do our best work and protect your property.

We remove most trees by climbing them using ropes and pulleys to safely bring down the tree piece by piece. For some larger or challenging trees, we use our knuckle boom crane and bucket truck when there is access.
Before we leave your property, our ground crew will clear all brush by hand and using our articulated loader that is designed to minimize impact on your lawn.

    Pruning

Pruning or shearing a tree or shrub is equal parts art and science. Done wrong, it can harm the health and stability of a plant. Skilled pruning and trimming, however, can strengthen your landscape specimens, enhance their appearance, and revitalize older plants.

    Stump Grinding

It’s a good idea to remove tree stumps. With some trees, new growth called suckers will sprout from the stump. Decaying trunks can attract insects while being unsightly, and be hazardous for lawn mowers.

We have a mobile stump grinder that’s large enough to grind any size stump, and small enough to fit in most fenced-in yards. Cleanup is done both mechanically and by hand.

    Tree Planting

Planting a tree is a lot more than digging a hole. One must consider the size of the tree when it reaches maturity, the presence of underground utilities, the size of the hole, and soil preparation. We’re also glad to advise you on which type of tree will best suit your landscape and
    vision.

    Tree Cabling

Don’t give up too quickly on a prized tree. Many trees that are structurally weak or damaged can be saved by a combination of carefully calculated pruning and stabilization with cables.

    Lumber Salvage and Milling

We sit under trees for shade. Swing from them. Plant them to memorialize someone special. Trees are a part of our personal stories. That’s why it can be hard to see a favorite tree go. Did you know, however, that your tree can have a second life?

We are proud to be a partner with Wisconsin Urban Wood, a nonprofit organization that promotes use of urban wood as an ecologically sound use of quality logs when a tree is removed. Wood from your tree can be milled at our lumber yard, after which you can use it for your own projects or sell it to a mill. You’ll receive a 25 percent of the gross sale if the lumber is sold.
